Our ministry at the Prince George’s Men’s Shelter continues to be a rewarding experience. Each month when the volunteers from Glenn Dale United Methodists Church arrive with the food, the men at the shelter enthusiastically come out to assist with carrying in the meal. Four hundred fifty-six shawls have been crafted by 11 women and given to others since April 2005 when the Shawl Ministry began at Glenn Dale United Methodist Church. Words and notes of thanks make it clear that lives have been uniquely blessed. The Flea Market Fun Fest drew visitors from near and far on Saturday, May 16. Despite an overcast sky and threats of thundershowers, we tallied a turnout of over 200 shoppers.
