Candlelight Advent services will start Wednesday, Nov. 30, and run through Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at historic Perkins Chapel next to the parsonage. Crop Walk Set for May 1 at Lake Artemesia
The 2010 CROP (Communities Responding To Overcome Poverty) Walk will be Sunday, May 1, at 1 p.m. at Lake Artemesia in Greenbelt. Last year, Glenn Dale United Methodist Church had 12 walkers and raised $1,700 in the 2009 CROP Walk. The annual event is organized by Hyattsville First United Methodist Church. Join Us at Our Lenten Luncheons & Devotions
Each Wednesday (March 9 - April 13) during Lent there will be a Lenten Luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. at Glenn Dale United Methodist Church. Homemade soup and dessert are served. Project Christmas Child to Bless More Kids

Heritage Focus of Anniversary Celebration

Many parishioners at Glenn Dale United Methodist Church have seen pictures and heard about the mission trip to Merger, Haiti, Stephanie Blanchard and Kent and Marilyn Hills participated in this summer. Flea Market Glorifies God & Raises Money
The Flea Market Fun Fest drew visitors from near and far on Saturday, May 22. The primary focus of the day was to add a family-friendly festival to the flea market, while glorifying God by reaching out to the community, with fundraising secondary. Chapel-in-the-Woods Services Begin July 4
Chapel-in-the-Woods Services at Glenn Dale United Methodist Church will begin Sunday, July 4, and continue weekly through Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. 3 of Our Own Joining Mission Trip to Haiti
Glenn Dale United Methodist Church is participating in the mission trip to Merger, Haiti, Bowie United Methodist Church is sponsoring from June 15 to 22. This will be the third trip to Merger (15 miles west of Port-au-Prince) for some of the mission team, but the first one for Glenn Dale United Methodist’s Stephanie Blanchard and Kent and Marilyn Hills.
