Chapel-in-the-Woods Services at Glenn Dale United Methodist Church will begin Sunday, July 4, and continue weekly through Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. The 2010 CROP (Communities Responding To Overcome Poverty) Walk will be Sunday, May 2 at 1 p.m. at Lake Artemesia in Greenbelt Last year, Glenn Dale United Methodist Church had 10 walkers and raised $1950.00 in the 2009 CROP Walk.  This the most money Glenn Dale UMC has ever raised!  Our church participates in the Hyattsville CROP Walk, which raised a total of $49,000 last year.  25% of this money... [Read more]

Glenn Dale United Methodist Church responded to Bishop Schol’s request for prayers and aid to Haiti by taking special collections for immediate financial aid and are also supporting the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) effort by collecting UMCOR Sager Brown Health Kits for the Haitian emergency.  We will be collecting them through March 21, 2010.
