Our History
Our multi-cultural church was formed in 1971 when the congregation of Perkins Memorial merged with the African-American congregation of nearby Dorsey Chapel.

Chapel-in-the-Woods Services Begin July 4
Chapel-in-the-Woods Services at Glenn Dale United Methodist Church will begin Sunday, July 4, and continue weekly through Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. This is a half-hour worship service beginning at 8:30 a.m. and is located in a shaded outdoor chapel behind the church. Join Us at Family Picnic & Father’s Day Service
We hope you will join Glenn Dale United Methodist Church for two important happenings over the Father’s Day weekend. 3 of Our Own Joining Mission Trip to Haiti
Glenn Dale United Methodist Church is participating in the mission trip to Merger, Haiti, Bowie United Methodist Church is sponsoring from June 15 to 22. This will be the third trip to Merger (15 miles west of Port-au-Prince) for some of the mission team, but the first one for Glenn Dale United Methodist’s Stephanie Blanchard and Kent and Marilyn Hills.
